# Selecting a Default Audiometer

## AudBase Machine / Booth Specific Preference Items

In AudBase you may designate a default audiometer to be selected for all audiograms created on the current workstation. Changes made to this type of preference are tied to the workstation itself, and not the user currently logged in. If your audiometer has been renamed or had its calibration date adjusted, you may have to re-select it from preferences.

1. From the AudBase Home Window, navigate to **File \> Preferences**

2. Select **Audiology (4 – Machine Specific)**

3. Select the appropriate Audiometer from the **Audiometer drop-down list.**

4. 1. To save your changes, select the **Close button** at the bottom left of the **Preferences Window.**
