OAE Data Transfer from GSI Corti or Maico EroScan

Learn how to identify your COM port and transfer OAE results from a GSI Corti or Maico EroScan into the AudBase OAE tab.

  1. Begin by determining what COM port the device is currently using.

    1. This will not change between tests but may change if the device has been unplugged recently. If you already know what port is being used you may skip to step 2.

    2. Right click the Start button in the bottom left corner of the Windows desktop.

    3. Select Device Manager, and a new window will open showing devices connected to the PC.

    4. Select the arrow (>) to expand the section Ports (COM & LPT).

    5. The Corti or EroScan will likely be displayed as USB Serial Port (COM#). Take note of this number. In this example it is COM 4.

    6. If you are unsure which device or port the device is connected to, you may disconnect and reconnect the device where it is plugged into the workstation and note which device disappears and reappears in the device manager.

  2. If you are on AudBase v3.0.018.47b or later, you can follow the instructions in this article to save your COM port settings so they persist between sessions.
  3. In the AudBase OAE tab, select the Corti or EroScan button from the instrument module palette.

  4. If prompted, select the COM Port you noted earlier for the device, and select OK.
