- Latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package or binaries (x64, v14.x or later)
- Server/Client must have Microsoft Print to PDF installed to utilize PDF result interface (if applicable).
- Server/Client workstations must have a modern browser (Edge,Chrome,Firefox) or a PDF Viewer to utilize Print Preview features.
- Minimum of two (2) available USB or Serial Ports for client workstations to attach to audiometric equipment sending data (no personal ID info transmitted from device, only results)
- Nightly backup recommended for optimum data redundancy. The application itself has a backup subsystem, or an external means can be utilized (flat file backup).
- Windows Energy Saving Settings:
- The default settings for Windows Server or Windows desktop computers are optimized for saving energy. While this “balanced” preset may be the best setting for desktop usage, the “High performance” preset will result in improved performance for the server.
In a Networked Environment (WAN/LAN):
- A Client application will be installed on each workstation that will access the database on the server.
- AudBase/4D server module will require a dedicated service account.
- All workstations must have open TCP/IP communication with server on ports 19812, 19813, 19814.
- If implementing Noah interface: workstations to Noah server on ports 8000 & 8001.
- Server must have static IP address
- Reliable connection is to the server is required.
- Each audiometric record is approximately 2KB; Average net transaction <1KB
